Accessibility of e-resources

Accessibility of e-resources

Accessibility means that as many different people as possible can access websites and mobile applications as easily as possible. Accessibility means considering the versatility and different abilities of people in the design and implementation of websites and mobile applications.

In the case of electronic resources, accessibility means that the material can be found using assistive tools, the material can be read using an accessible screen reader and the entire content of the material is accessible through multiple sensory channels.

The accessibility of e-resources provided by the Jamk library varies significantly. These resources are acquired from various vendors, resulting in differences in content, usage rights, access methods, loan periods, and required reading software. For detailed information about the features of e-resources available at Jamk, see the E-Resources Guide.

E-articles are often available in either PDF or HTML format. Some databases have built-in listening features, while others allow articles to be read directly within the browser or via PDF screen reader. Always refer to the specific instructions provided by each e-resource.

From some Jamk electronic services, you can also find instructions for accessibility (Accessibility Statement).
