Naxos Music Library [NML] is the world´s largest online classical music library. Naxos Music Library includes the complete catalogues of BIS, Chandos, CPO, Hänssler, Hungaroton, Marco Polo, Naxos and selected titles of other leading independent labels, with more labels being added from time to time. It is not allowed to download or burn to CD any music on NML. Please remember to log out.

Naxos Music Library Jazz is the comprehensive jazz music streaming platform. A comprehensive selection of productions by jazz legends and contemporary artists. Catalogues and selected recordings from over 400 labels. It is not allowed to download or burn to CD any music on NML. Please remember to log out.

Right of use and login

The e-resources provided by the library can be used via Jamk's network by the students, teachers and other staff of Jamk University of Applied Sciences. Remote access off-campus is also possible with Jamk username and password. Other visitors at the library can use most of the e-resources on specific computers reserved for the purpose.

Number of simultaneous users

Naxos Music Library and Naxos Music Library Jazz services can be used by only one user at a time. Remember to log out of the service when you finish listening so that the usage license is released for the next user!

Printing and copying

Material may not be printed or, for example, music recorded for purposes other than personal use.

Reading and downloading

Music can be listened to directly through the browser or mobile application. Mobile applications also have an offline function, so the user can save music to their device and listen without an internet connection.

Mobile use

It is recommended to use the service through mobile applications, which are available for both IOS and Android devices. It is also possible to use the service through the mobile device’s browser. See separate instructions for using the mobile application.

Mobile usage

The Naxos Music Library service works on mobile devices through the browser or the NML mobile application. The NML mobile application requires a separate user account before the service can be used.

  1. Log in to Naxos Music Library through Janet Finna.

  2. Select the Playlists tab. Click the Student/member account link in the Sign up section.

  3. Fill in the required information. Your Jamk email address and the password you choose will serve as your username for the NML mobile application.

  4. Download the NML mobile application to your mobile device from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).

  5. Open the NML mobile application and log in with your created credentials: UserName = email address and Password = password.

  6. You will receive a confirmation of registration in your email. Click the Activate Naxos Music Library Personal Playlist Login Now link in the email. Enjoy the music!

  7. Jamk library has only one user license for Naxos. Remember to log out of the service when you finish listening. On Android devices, log out by clicking the ≡ menu icon ⇒ More ⇒ Log Out. On iOS devices, log out by clicking the Others menu ⇒ Logout.
