JAMK Library’s user rights to SFS standards are the most extensive in the Central Finland region, covering all ICS groups as well as some ISO standards. Standards are watermarked with the name of the university they are licensed to. Standards are protected by copyright and may only be used for activities internal to the university. Standards or copies of them may not be distributed outside of the university, e.g. to companies involved in thesis projects.
Link to the service can also be found in A-Z Database List and Janet Finna-database.
The e-resources provided by the library can be used via Jamk's network by the students, teachers and other staff of Jamk University of Applied Sciences. Remote access off-campus is also possible with Jamk username and password. Other visitors (walk-in users) at the library can browse, search and retrieve the licensed material on specific computers reserved for the purpose. Tämä vähän epäselvä enkkupuolella FinElibillä.
For SFS standards number of simultaneous users is not limited.Maximum of eight concurrent users are allowed for ISO standards.
Jamk students and staff can read, save, print, and copy the SFS standards both on campus and at home. Please ensure to duly reference the source. When you save an SFS standard file on your computer, it is available for 12 months at a time.
You can use any browser with SFS Online, but we recommend opening PDF files with Adobe Reader. We recommend version X (10) or newer. If an error message comes up when opening a standard, please try to open the PDF to Adobe Reader from the Downloads -file in your device.
Database can be used mobile with internet connection and browser.
Users must follow the specific terms of use and license. Please, read following information about the terms of use for the e-resources provided by the Jamk library. More specific terms of use can be checked from the service providers sites. Please contact the library in uncertain situations.
