Description of material

PubMed, a service of the National Library of Medicine, includes over 14 million citations for biomedical articles back to the 1950s. PubMed includes links to many sites providing full text articles and other related resources. Coverage is worldwide, but most records are from English-language sources or have English abstracts. Links to full text publications and other related resources are also included when available.

PubMed is a free database. To be able to open full texts of licensed articles sign in via library home page. See login instructions.

MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) is a controlled vocabulary thesaurus of subject terms, which you can use in your search.

Right of use and login

PubMed is a free database.

Getting full text: Log in to PubMed via library's home page so that when switching to different providers' websites from PubMed, Jamk's (Jamk University of Applied Sciences) access is identified.

Link to full text is in the upper right corner of the opened article citation. Further down in the opened article citation is Full Text Sources link, through which you can find more options.

Note: PubMed does not indicate which full texts Jamk University of Applied Sciences has a license for. Try all available full text links! 
You can also search for the full text by using International Article Search in Janet Finna. Copy the title of the article from PubMed and paste it to Janet Finna.

Printing and copying

Some parts of material can be printed and/or saved.  

Reading and downloading

Material can be read directly online from browser. You can save searches and track updates: Use your existing personal Google Account to sign in.

Mobile use

Database can be used mobile with internet connection and browser.
