When an article is published in a journal following the Gold OA principle or in a hybrid journal, the publisher may collect an article processing charge (APC). While these charges range from a few dozen to thousands of euros, not all publishers of Open Access journals collect them.
Jamk personnel are entitled to APCs discounts in some publishers' journals. These discounts are based on agreements concluded by the FinELib consortium with the publishers.
Please note: Remember to report also the APC of your publication when reporting the publication for the Ministry of Education and Culture’s data collection on the Justus service.
Publish articles open access without APC-fees in IEEE hybrid and fully open access journals. For more detailed instructions, visit the FInElib website at the link below.
Publish open access articles without Article prosessing charge or with a 15% discount. See the link below for detailed instructions by Elsevier.
Familiarise yourself with the Open APC service, which collects information about the APCs paid by organisations to publishers.
Note: When reporting a publication on Justus publication data service for the Ministry of Education and Culture's data collection, remember to enter any APC that was paid.
