The journal/series publishing the article has an ISSN identifier, and research books have an ISBN identifier.
If the article is an introduction to a book or a journal, the author must provide a research contribution to itand the writing must be related to the author's work. Introductions or prefaces that merely describe the editorial work or table of contents of a publication are not reported.
